"La Fête de la Musique" is the celebration of every kind of music and musician; it is a festival meant for adults, children, amateurs, and professionals. It started in France on June 21, 1982 to celebrate the first day of summer (longest day) and now exists in over 100 countries! To prove that Music has no boundaries and that any time will do, "La Fête de la Musique" will be celebrated in February in Bangkok!
>> From 2 PM: different kind of moods, various groups of music by amateurs and young professionals will play in the gardens of Museum Siam.
>> From 6 PM: leading Thai music groups will share the main podium with IAM and THAITANIUM.

IAM (France)
IAM is one of the greatest French groups of all time. It was founded in 1988 in Marseille during the Hip-Hop heyday. A year later, they brought out their first single and were the opening act in Madonna’s Blonde Ambition Tour in France. Later, in 1997, L’Ecole du Micro d’Argent sold over a million copies and gave the group international recognition. IAM also played with some of the great masters of Hip-Hop, such as Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man, Redman, Beyoncé, Syleena Johnson and Lucas the Rapper. IAM has never performed in Thailand before, but knows the Kingdom of Siam well. LA FETE is very proud to have been chosen by the group to organize this unique and free event. The clash of the Titans: THAITANIUM and IAM together on the same stage! THAITANIUM has taken Thailand and the Asian hip-hop community by storm with their unique blend of Thai and New York street sounds. Opening act for one of the world’s biggest Hip Hop artistes, 50 cent on his "Get Rich or Die Trying" world tour with Fort Minor; winner of "Best Group of the year" by Fat Radio and SEED Fm and winner of "Best Hip Hop Album of the year" by Season Magazine, every THAITANIUM performance is evidence that hip-hop runs through their veins as they tear up the dance floor with their unique sound.
