Cie Etha-Dam (France): "Aduna, Land of Adventure"
Choreography and music : Ibrahima Sissoko (duration 50 minutes)
Choreographic performance with 7 artists
Official site: www.ethadam.com
The performance "Aduna, Land of Adventure" is the story of some men engaged in the search for a virgin, sacred and dreamlike piece of land, source of revelations. "Aduna, Land of Adventure" is an affirmation of an aesthetic dance, where the performance and the gestures of the dancers are serving the building of a work of art, in an orginal staging, mingling African dances, Capoeira and Hip-hop. The Cie Etha-Dam was created in 1998 and stems from the meeting of dancers that shared the same open mind and the same vision of dance. Founded by the choreographer, Ibrahima Sissoko -who trained at the "Dance Academy of Paris" and who is said to be the pillar of the Cie Choréam-, Etha-Dam has ascertained its artistic identity through original aesthetic features caracterising the new French Hip-hop School.
NB : The Cie Etha-Dam will also present its show in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Bandung, Jogyakarta, Surabaya and Manila, within the framework of French festivals.
