Contemporary Art |

A new generation of Thai and French artworkWhen: June 7th to June 30th / Opening on June 7th at 6pm Nowadays, things have completely evolved, the object that can be exchanged does not necessarily belong to the field of materiality but can be considered in terms of flow, exchange and communication networks. Henceforth, the art works of Loris Gréaud and Laurent Montaron question this immateriality while wondering on the way information circulates. Loris Gréaud’s installation , a simple container in space, will lead the viewer to withdraw from reality while Laurent Montaron’s video will make scientific tools and irrational speeches talk . As a response to these immaterial proposals, the Claire Fontaine group of artists is definitely set in reality by reflecting on the dispersal of programmatic statements while questioning their validity. At the core of this project, two Thai artists are invited to exchange ideas on these proposals: Witt Pinkanchanapong interested in new information technology and social and urban space, and Arin Rungiang, whose work questions at the same time the strategies of conceptual art and the spiritual aspects of Thai culture. At a time when the stream of information and objects is speeded up, the importance and place of the work of art will be at the core of this exhibition. The exhibition "Some proposals for the next future” is sponsored and supported by the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain en France (FNAC) in collaboration with the CNAP ( Centre National des Arts Plastiques).
