Open air concert! The Music Day is a free event open to all which will take place all day long on Saturday June 23rd from 6.00 pm to 01.00 am at Santichaiprakarn Park. Faithful to its original edition, with a programme including many recognized artists, the "Music Day” has greatly developed over the years and has become a truly urban music festival while promoting the young Thai musical scene. Through a mix of styles, the "Music Day” encourages musical interactions between French and Thai artists combining a unique blend of sounds. Joing the stage will be underground groups from the Thai scene and new talents as well as French artists such as the band High Tone from Lyon and the super-sonic DJ Missill. The electrifying Futon, who took part in "Tout à fait Thai” in October 2006 in France, will be gracing the stage as well. Thai artist Wit Pimkanchanapong will create a special scenography for the event. Programme:
Special Guest: High Tone Truly experts in vinyl mass sampling, in club alchemy in terms of sound effects, new electronic handling and scratching, the group High Tone wanders freely along sidewalks since the dawn of Digital music on the so-called current music. The adventures of the five musicians from Lyon have started in 1997 as they were experiencing a great musical turmoil. After some self-productions, the group has coped with the year 2000 bug to release its first album called "Opus incertum” on the independent label Jarring Effects which has accompanied High Tone’s destiny and its seven albums on their way to complete artistic freedom. From electronic escapades to constant musical experiments, the High Tone quintet continuously reinvents its music. Beyond their talent in terms of production and multiples samples, it by performing live that the members of the band reach a new high, thanks to the energy displayed by the total adequacy between the sound and the visual performances. On stage, they produce outstanding sound but also unprecedented light effects and unequalled video projections. Among the High Tone members, a video jockey mixes filmed recordings and live pictures during the show. |
